"I wanted a good gym to help condition for my collegiate softball career. Last summer, I talked to Ryan about how I could be in the best shape and improve my performance. He trained with me throughout the summer and left me with great exercises to continue to pursue my workouts. After a year of working at Celli's Fitness Center, I have lost about 30 lbs and increased my batting average. With the help of Ryan, my batting average rocketed from .220 in 2009 to a solid .398 in the 2010 season. "When I first started lifting at Celli's Fitness Center I had just competed in my first powerlifting meet. I weighed in at 145, light for me I had the flu, well I deadlifted 410. Then I joined Celli's and 6 months later I am back to 160, my normal weight, and deadlifted 501 @ 163 for the WABDL state record. My benchpress has gone up from 245 to 305 and my squat from a weak legged 315 to a strong and steady 365. The training at Celli's is top notch and Ryan and Dana are always willing to give advice. "I’m a 54 year old female and while I have always tried to stay in shape and eat relatively well– running marathons, yoga, group classes etc., I had noticed that in the past year my muscles were quite weak and not in the shape that I wanted. "I started training at Celli's Fitness about 3 years ago in 2009. I chose to go there because it was close to my house and I was tired of the big commercial gyms like Bally's and LA Fitness. I had been working out for nearly 5 years already and considered myself in pretty decent shape. Things were good when I signed up and I really liked the atmosphere. During my time at Celli's I made strength gains and also slacked a little and had strength losses. It wasn't until I approached Ryan about buying some training packages for a couple months until I realized just how much I didn't know about working out. Ryan built an amazing regimen and we hit it hard. With a little bit of sweat and some good old fashioned hard work, I have seen the most dramatic gains in my strength and appearance ever. "After actively competing and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the past 3 and a half years and beginning to train Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing I quickly realized that strength training was something I was lacking and because of that missing on opportunities to excel in the sports that I compete in. I traveled around to a number of corporate gyms with Lady Gaga on the TV and personal trainers who couldn't squat if their life depended on it. Feeling discouraged and a bit lost a friend of mine and also Celli's fitness member, Jason Cook, found the celli fitness website. This seemed exactly the place I was looking for, and after an email and a phone call with Ryan I quickly signed up. I was impressed not only by his breadth of knowledge and clear world class accomplishments but mostly by how humble and friendly he was. I have been having Ryan coach me for about 3 months now and have nothing but good things to say. He greatly improved my technique in the three main lifts and constantly keeps me interested and challenged with assistance exercises and cardio work as well. I mostly was happy with how Ryan clearly listened to the goals that I wanted to accomplish and tailored my training for the sports I partake in. When I started at Celli's the most I had ever deadlifted was 275 for one. 6 short weeks after that I am gunning for 405! The best part for me is that I have felt the gains in strength transfer into my Jiu-Jitsu. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to take their training seriously and to the next level. Without meeting Ryan and training with him I probably would be too discouraged and lost and considered weight lifting a lost cause, but now it is a bit of an addiction. I am constantly thinking about the goals and progress being made session to session. Celli's is a true hardcore gym with a totally inviting and friendly atmosphere. Everyone i've met at the gym has been extremely welcoming and supportive of each other and myself. Definitely the best gym for strength training in Pittsburgh."

I was planning on doing my first ever competitive meet for deadlift and i had a clear goal in mind. I decided to ask Ryan for his help. Once i told him my goals he developed a plan that would allow me to peak and hit the numbers that i was looking for. Ryan’s assistance didn’t stop there as every time I walked in the door for deadlift day, Ryan knew it and was just as excited if not more so than I. Throughout the time period he was there to watch and give me little tips to help my technique. And when the meet got cancelled he was there to judge the lift. When it was all said and done i hit my number and even exceeded it by blasting my previous PR by 40 pounds! I can not recommend Ryan or Dana’s help enough and it is the best gym in Western PA (I’ve been to most to them) to go to when trying to better yourself with anything that has to do with fitness, weight loss or strength training.
