"I started training at Celli's Fitness about 3 years ago in 2009. I chose to go there because it was close to my house and I was tired of the big commercial gyms like Bally's and LA Fitness. I had been working out for nearly 5 years already and considered myself in pretty decent shape. Things were good when I signed up and I really liked the atmosphere. During my time at Celli's I made strength gains and also slacked a little and had strength losses. It wasn't until I approached Ryan about buying some training packages for a couple months until I realized just how much I didn't know about working out. Ryan built an amazing regimen and we hit it hard. With a little bit of sweat and some good old fashioned hard work, I have seen the most dramatic gains in my strength and appearance ever. I've doubled my dead lift. Put about 70 lbs on my bench and about 150 on my squat all in less than 2 months time. He breaks things down to a science and always finds the perfect way to push me in just right amount to get me to the next level every week. I couldn't be happier with the results and I HIGHLY recommend Celli's Fitness and Ryan's training to anyone that is serious about making a real change in their life."
"I highly recommend Celli's Fitness Center. It's a clean, safe, and friendly place to workout. Whether you are a heavy lifting athlete, a beginner, or just want to stay fit, it's the place to go."- Jay Ressler, Lawrenceville
"Ramona and I have been members for about four years. These are the things I've gained while at Celli's and training with Ryan: knowledge, strength, friendship, and growing confidence. I've competed twice (which I never thought I'd do), and learned to appreciate the difference between authentic and "I'm the man" lifting. I'll be 60 in a few weeks and am excited about it. A good portion of that attitude is a result of lessons learned in the gym. Thanks Ryan and Dana. Keep up the good work!
"I started at Celli's with previous knowledge about exercise and lifting, what I needed was motivation. When I started training with Ryan I was the weakest I have been in my life. He catered to my needs, abilities and goals. My sport is swimming, and I haven't been in a pool in a long time. After only eight weeks of training with Ryan my times dropped dramatically. Training at the gym is great! Everyone is very nice, the gym is clean, and even though I'm not a body builder, I feel very comfortable training there."- Connie Prady, Lawrenceville
"When I first started lifting at Celli's Fitness Center I had just competed in my first powerlifting meet. I weighed in at 145, light for me I had the flu, well I deadlifted 410. Then I joined Celli's and 6 months later I am back to 160, my normal weight, and deadlifted 501 @ 163 for the WABDL state record. My benchpress has gone up from 245 to 305 and my squat from a weak legged 315 to a strong and steady 365. The training at Celli's is top notch and Ryan and Dana are always willing to give advice. Since my strength has gone up, I feel a lot better about myself and what I can do in and out of the gym. Thanks Ryan and Dana"
"Celli’s is a gym for serious lifters. Every single member has the sole purpose of getting stronger and supporting others to do the same. The atmosphere is friendly and the gym itself is the cleanest I’ve ever been a member of. They take pride in maintaining a safe environment in which to train. Before I came to Celli’s, I had chronic knee, back, and shoulder pain and my squat, bench, and deadlift had plateaued. After taking several 1 on 1 training sessions with Ryan and several months of training on a program he designed specific to my goals, my results have been unbelievable. 6 months later all the pain is gone, I’m adding weight every day I train, and I’m motivated and excited because of all the progress I’m making. Thanks to Ryan and Dana for the advice and encouragement and very proud to be a member."
I've joked around with a few of the other members that you can't walk into Celli's without lifting something heavy. It's true...after a long day of work, I drive to the gym thinking the workout might not be all that great because I'm feeling wore out - but the second I hit the door all that junk gets left in the parking lot. You see people of all ages, genders, and strength levels working hard at Celli's, which is very motivational. And the gym is owned by a world class powerlifter and human being, which is invaluable."
"After lifting at a commercial gym for a year before coming to Celli's, it was seriously like entering a different world. People actually cared about the gym, members showed up regularly, everyone helped each other, everyone was there to do their work and get it, and I have been hooked ever since. I've been there for about 14 months now, and my lifts/confidence/passion for it has skyrocketed ever since. Thank you guys SO MUCH for everything, it really does mean a lot."

"My good friend Jen Dulski joined your gym and raved on how great the two of you were, and insisted I join. I was hesitant, and had a mentality of let me get stronger before I join. That was just dumb. I finally joined, and fell in love. Not with Ryan or Dana, lol with the sport. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be training as a power lifter. I ended up doing Celli's Spring Power meet and took best female lifter! Nutz!!!!!! I am stronger and more confident than ever and have found a new passion in life. It's crazy that it's only been 4 months!!! I've learned a lot about my body and muscle growth and the process of strength training overall. I freakin loooove it!!!! Although I only have one week left in The Burgh, I will take everything I have learned and continue getting stronger. You know I always thought power lifters were crazy ..... they are lol and I'm proud to say I am 'one of them'!!!! Thanks Ryan and Dana. I will miss you two for sure!"
"As a transplant from New York, I spent some time searching Pittsburgh for a gym that could meet my needs. After a long search near my home in the South Hills, I found Celli’s Fitness Center to be the answer to all my prayers. Not only is the facility equipped with any piece of equipment you NEED to get great results but everyone is required to check their ego’s at the door. Over the past 2 years, not only have I seen great results from my training but I have not once questioned why I chose Celli’s. Ryan and Dana understand that everyone has different goals and reasons for being in the gym and are incredibly supportive in helping you achieve those goals. Whether you are an elite strength athlete or a beginner learning the basics, I wholeheartedly recommend Celli’s as your gym in Pittsburgh."
"I wanted a good gym to help condition for my collegiate softball career. Last summer, I talked to Ryan about how I could be in the best shape and improve my performance. He trained with me throughout the summer and left me with great exercises to continue to pursue my workouts. After a year of working at Celli's Fitness Center, I have lost about 30 lbs and increased my batting average. With the help of Ryan, my batting average rocketed from .220 in 2009 to a solid .398 in the 2010 season. I finished third in my conference and was selected for the All-Tournament Team in the WVIAC Tournament. Check out some of the statistics here. I have come back for the summer to train hard again at Celli's. Thanks for all the help Ryan!"
I was planning on doing my first ever competitive meet for deadlift and i had a clear goal in mind. I decided to ask Ryan for his help. Once i told him my goals he developed a plan that would allow me to peak and hit the numbers that i was looking for. Ryan’s assistance didn’t stop there as every time I walked in the door for deadlift day, Ryan knew it and was just as excited if not more so than I. Throughout the time period he was there to watch and give me little tips to help my technique. And when the meet got cancelled he was there to judge the lift. When it was all said and done i hit my number and even exceeded it by blasting my previous PR by 40 pounds! I can not recommend Ryan or Dana’s help enough and it is the best gym in Western PA (I’ve been to most to them) to go to when trying to better yourself with anything that has to do with fitness, weight loss or strength training.
"I’m a 54 year old female and while I have always tried to stay in shape and eat relatively well– running marathons, yoga, group classes etc., I had noticed that in the past year my muscles were quite weak and not in the shape that I wanted. I was so fortunate to find Ryan! While I was a little hesitant at first to work out in a gym that focused on power lifting and my assumption of all that goes with that, I couldn’t have been more wrong. Even when I struggled to do bicep curls with 8 pound weights beside another member who was using 150 pound weights, Ryan made me feel absolutely comfortable training with him, as did the other members. Ryan’s knowledge of nutrition was also very helpful in tweaking my diet to improve muscle tone. With Ryan’s knowledge and guidance my strength and muscle tone continue to improve."
"I have been in the Health and Fitness Industry for 20+ years, and have dabbled in Powerlifting meets since I was 14. I had the fortune to run into Ryan at a Monster Meet in Pittsburgh a few years back. I was injured and a spectator. A few years later I was in an APA meet Ryan was in and couldn't help but admire his focus! His routine was pristine...warm up sets, managed time leading up to his next lift! All the while he was coaching others who needed some help whether the novice, or the know-it-all!! In this mad, ever changing fitness world Ryan and I are part of, a few qualities stand out...NO SHORTCUTS!! Sweat equity, and the desire to trust your trainer to get you to the next level! I'm honored to have met Ryan, and proud to say we are friends/trainers with the same principles!! Best to you Ryan and Dana!"- Tommy Mannsmann

"After actively competing and training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for the past 3 and a half years and beginning to train Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing I quickly realized that strength training was something I was lacking and because of that missing on opportunities to excel in the sports that I compete in. I traveled around to a number of corporate gyms with Lady Gaga on the TV and personal trainers who couldn't squat if their life depended on it. Feeling discouraged and a bit lost a friend of mine and also Celli's fitness member, Jason Cook, found the celli fitness website. This seemed exactly the place I was looking for, and after an email and a phone call with Ryan I quickly signed up. I was impressed not only by his breadth of knowledge and clear world class accomplishments but mostly by how humble and friendly he was. I have been having Ryan coach me for about 3 months now and have nothing but good things to say. He greatly improved my technique in the three main lifts and constantly keeps me interested and challenged with assistance exercises and cardio work as well. I mostly was happy with how Ryan clearly listened to the goals that I wanted to accomplish and tailored my training for the sports I partake in. When I started at Celli's the most I had ever deadlifted was 275 for one. 6 short weeks after that I am gunning for 405! The best part for me is that I have felt the gains in strength transfer into my Jiu-Jitsu. I would recommend this gym to anyone looking to take their training seriously and to the next level. Without meeting Ryan and training with him I probably would be too discouraged and lost and considered weight lifting a lost cause, but now it is a bit of an addiction. I am constantly thinking about the goals and progress being made session to session. Celli's is a true hardcore gym with a totally inviting and friendly atmosphere. Everyone i've met at the gym has been extremely welcoming and supportive of each other and myself. Definitely the best gym for strength training in Pittsburgh."
"I'm not a body builder, but Celli's Fitness Center has certainly had a positive impact on my life. It is clean, convenient, well-stocked and friendly without being a pick-up spa. My needs are to utilize specific weight machines and sometimes the treadmill when walking outdoors isn't feasible. I like to visit before work at 7 AM, and the Center staff has gone out of their way to make sure the place is opened even a few minutes early for me. I really appreciate it, and it always gets my day off to a good start. Thanks, Celli's!"- Marty Ressler, Lawrenceville
"While much of the fitness/strength/bodybuilding/powerlifting world is bogged down with fads, compromise and self-promotion, it is good to know there are people of principle and true purpose like Ryan and Dana. For those of us who've been fortunate enough to experience this place, you know what I mean. For those of you who haven't, you should go find out! Big Congratulations on the first five!"
